Teasses Estate is an established shooting estate with a reputation for excellent driven pheasant, duck and partridge. The topography of the Estate plus five duck ponds and a loch, combined with excellent management allows for plentiful and consistent sporting options. The game bird season on Teasses runs from September to February, with the Estate normally shooting 40+ days and bags ranging 100-400. Teasses has drives to test the best and the most experienced of guns, with back to back days possible. Novices are also welcome and Teasses can supply ‘Lantra- trained’ loaders to assist and ensure all clients enjoy their day safely. Support and advice are always on hand on our shoot days. Head Gamekeeper Kenny Horne, who has been at Teasses for 25 years, will do his best to ensure everyone enjoys their outing. Shotgun hire and cartridges are available upon request. Teasses habitat creation and its first-class shoot have recently been recognised with a Purdey Award.

Qualities of a good shoot – according to The Field magazine

Decent birds (between 35yd and 50yd high) on a variety of drives

A line of pegs that’s at least a good gunshot apart

Lovely countryside

A cheerful keeper who’s not too in your face and who has the gumption to change the line and drives if the wind changes

An absence of artificiality, ie a dearth of wire, release pens, feeders

Teasses Estate – Recipient of a Commendation in 2019

The Purdey Awards have been held annually since 1999 and seek to promote a wider appreciation of the outstanding game and habitat conservation work carried out by shoots throughout the United Kingdom and to give well-deserved recognition and reward to the best.
